Toddlers

Our lead teachers are trained and devoted to the process of helping toddlers foster their independence and love of learning. At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking, and eventually running are levels they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, art, stories, outdoor play, and learning simplicities envelop much of the day. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child develop these skills through a trusting and loving relationship.

Environment

In our toddler rooms, the furniture and materials are made of wood and other natural substances to create a multi-sensory environment. Our outdoor environment consists of materials and activities which help the children to develop coordination, equilibrium, and strength. We always provide an environment of self-development, support, understanding, and respect.

Education

The educational activities of the toddler curriculum are based on eight basic areas of development: practical life, hand-eye coordination, art and music, movement, math manipulatives, sensorial, Bible, and language. The toddler stage of education involves bringing literacy into their daily lives as well as increasing their vocabulary and focusing on the proper enunciation of words.

Activities

Our toddlers experience literacy through circle time, books, puppet play, music, singing, games, and interactions with teachers. Our toddler classroom activities are developmentally appropriate for each age group, ensuring children are exposed to activities that will stimulate their brains and build skills to reach developmental milestones.
