Our full-service childcare center offers the best facilities available with the most qualified teachers for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years old. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth.
At Discovery Tree, we strive to provide an engaging environment of age-appropriate learning and structure in which a child can thrive in all aspects that create a whole person (physically, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually). We want to see your children reach developmental milestones, and we want to celebrate along with them when they do!
Discovery Tree is extremely proud of the teachers at our center--we do not take it lightly when we say we have the BEST of the BEST! Our teachers focus on kindness, patience, and age-appropriate learning. We also require on-going training for our staff through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff are trained in First Aid and CPR.
Discovery Tree is located within Christ Temple Church in Huntington, West Virginia. Our campus is conveniently situated right off the 5th street exit of I-64 making it easily accessible to those in the tri-state area of WV, KY, and OH.
The goal of Discovery Tree is to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment by offering a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to encourage our children to be independent thinkers and life-long learners.
Our center utilizes the HiMama app so that you can always feel connected to your children. Your child's teacher will use the app to post information such as naps, meals, diaper changes, and activities along with pictures to help long days apart from your child seem a bit shorter.
HiMama has a direct message feature so that you can send messages to your child's teachers, and they will send you messages as well. Teachers will send messages with class reminders, weekly updates, etc., and the Director will use this feature to send center-wide announcements, newsletters, and updates.
HiMama even has a billing feature, and you will receive your monthly statements via the app. You can pay directly through the app via ACH or with your credit/debit card, and you can even set up Autopay so that you never have to worry about forgetting to submit your tuition payment!
